Dear Kara
I thought you might like to know how the new
Barka Parkas fared with our two staffies, Bicky
and Dodger.
Before the advent of the BPs, we had a couple
of mats in the same spot in the lounge room.
When the dogs were inside and we needed
them to be quiet and still, we would Say, “On
your mat” and they would curl upon the rugs
provided. When the BPs arrived, the mats were
removed and the BPs were put in their place.
The test came the first time after this that we
had to say, On your mat!” Bicky (slightly larger
and lighter coloured female who is a) more
intelligent and b) more courageous) hopped
straight onto one of the BPs and curled up
without fuss. Dodger (slightly smaller black-
faced male who is neurotic.) tested one paw
and was frightened by the strange sound and
sensation. Put under more pressure to obey, he
circled helplessly and curled up next to the BP
instead of on it (see picture no. 1. )
Picture no. 2 shows Dodger perched pathetically
in the BP. (because we had placed him there),
unwilling to risk any movement, including lying
down.
(Bicky is still asleep - ed.)
Picture no. 3 records the situation a few days
later — all is bliss, and Dodger cannot
remember what all the fuss was about!
The BPs have been a great success, as you can
see. The dogs love then’ and the covers wash
and dry very easily. I even had the foresight to
order burgundy because that is what the new
curtains will eventually be!
Many thanks for this great product.
Yours sincerely,
Beth
